Hi, excuse me for the dumb question but actualy I don't understand how to seperate this:When my Avant is on and I switch the BS 3000 on, I want to mute (or reduce volume) on the Avant and want to control the volume via BS 3000 but both of them react to the volume control at the same time. The Avant and BS 3000 are NOT linked together via ML. Only the BS 3000 and the BS 5 are linked.Where's my error in thinking?btw: I used the Beo 5 to control that; didn't try out the Beo 4.thanks.
Sounds like all these units are within IR rnage of each other ... is that right?
What OPTION have you set in each unit ... ?
First B&O (1976) was a Beogram 1500 ... latest (2011) change has been to couple the BL11 with the BL6Ks *sounds superb*
Agree with elephant. Seems to be an option problem. Set V.OPT 1 and A.OPT 1. BS3000 must be audiomaster, BS5 no audiomaster. Now when you choose a video source you control just the Avant and vice versa - hope this helps.

Ok, thanks.I now have set my TV to V.Opt 1 and my BS 3000 to A.Opt 1 and audiomaster. Now BS 3000 and BS 5 don't response to the Beo 5 anymore ... I can control them through the Beo 4 so there seem to be a programming error in the Beo 5!?

You have to change Options in your Beo5 configuration too. In "Choose Products", rihght click over your BS 3000 and your BS5.

Oh I love computers; they help you to solve problems that you don't have without them Before I mess it up again with the configuration tool:Which options do I have to choose for:- TV (Avant)- BS 3000- BS 5This "option thing" is very amusing for a new customer :-)
Well, you said you have changed your TV to Option 1 and your BS 3000 to Option 1. If your BS5 is in a link room, I guess you have to choose Option 6.
As said V.OPT 1 and A.OPT 1 . Beosound 5 MUST be assigned as no audiomaster, which means, no option programming possible.
Two audiomasters in one masterlink system are NOT possible.
BTW, BS5 will not (yet) understand option 6.
Hi,I did what you told me:I set both products to option 1 in the config tool "Two IR receivers in the same Main room".After sending the configuration to my Beo 5 I switched the Beo 5 to "option programming". As soon as I press the button "living room" the BS 3000 and the avant blink; than the Avant switches on.After this I can't control the BS 3000 anymore ... it just reacts to the Beo 4.What's wrong? A bug in the Software?
Did you configure your BS5 as BS5 and did you get serializiation errors? If yes, delete BS5 in the config. tool and configure it as BM5.
