    BeoCom 1600, 2400, 2500 colour differences

I've been looking at various offerings of these phones on eBay with a view to purchase, but I'm confused about colours. I don't know whether it is the photography or whether B&O changed colours during the phone's production, a difference based on model number or a combination of all three.

I especially like one that looks electric blue - I've seen one or two of these, but mostly they seem to be dark or navy blue. Can anyone confirm whether a brighter blue was made and whether it was done in all models? Equally, there is a burgundy, but I've also seen red. I've seen mid-grey and pale grey.

To confuse the issue further, I've also seen one that appears to have a coloured body (navy blue) and black receiver and keypad backing.

B&O catalogues simply say red, green, blue, grey, black. So were there variations of these or is it just the photography that makes then look different?

Additionally, is it correct to assume that the BeoCom 1600 does not have the silver (aluminium?) plate in the docking section where the receiver sits, but the other models do?

    Any clarification would be welcome.

Photos will lie a lot, as will your monitor and its settings. For what it's worth, my blue 1600 has lighter keypad backing and the backside of the handset - maybe you could call them navy blue. The rest of the body is very dark blue, and the business side of the handset is light grey. And no metal plate on the body.
