    Beovision LX4500 doesn't work anymore

    Hello,

sadly, my LX4500 has stopped working: When I turn it on using the remote control, the red LED turns green just to turn immediately red again. It turns on and switches immediately off again.

It had the same problem some years ago, but I don't remember what was wrong anymore.

Does anyone know this error and knows a sollution?

    Thanks, Philipp

    Hi Felipe

There can be several reasons for this.My guees is that the problem are located in the powersection around the big tranformer(line transformer) in the back of the tv its a big tranformer with a red wire going to the picture tube. There is a driver(transistor) called BU  and some ciffers maybe its shortened. If it is you cannot just replace it you have to measure components in the neighberhood spec the capacitors to see if some of them are bad.If you replace the BU transistor it must be exactly the same type.be carefull if you do so you are dealing with high voltage even after it's unplugged I cannot be sure if that's but you can try.May be try to contact die bogener his a member of beoworld and lives in germany

    regards

    jan

I tried, but I couldn't get it going... Now an expert tries it. I wish him good luck ;-)
