Latest software for Beolab 5???

I have just bought a new pair of Beolab 5. I trade in my lab 1+lab2. My retailstore said that there was a new DSP (digital sound processor) and new software in Beolab 5. Does anybody heard anything about this?

Which is the latest software, and from which date is it from? What about the new DSP?

Latest software is 3.00a - only relevant for production due to update of the volume control IC
and new design of the according PCB. Introduced in the production as from serial no.: 21221146
(week 38-08). Software 3.00a is NOT to be used in older versions

Previous software was 2.61

Hi Gerd, I have bl5 214xxxxx and the problem I have is that the volume is stepped - it is neither smooth nor progressive - your post seems to indicate that some attention has been paid to this, however I have this problem! Thanks!
