    AV9000 that takes DVD's [:O]

Check this out!!! I'm jealous. The AV9000 with a Beolink 7000 *drool* I would just update the speakers.

It really is a wonderful TV!

Would love to have one, too bad I'm getting used to 40" + inches. Could be a nice alternative for the bedroom.

Such a good looking tv. Its a shame that 4:3 tv's are totally out of fashion now

A great friend of mine just bought an AV9000 and a pair of Penta II's to replace his MX7000 and MS150's, he's got a Beolink 7000 as well.  Why on earth would you change the speakers though?

Fantastic job you did there Ulf, i have always admired your re-builds Smile

Do you think an AV9000 base would be suitable to "upgrade" it with a LCD / Plasma,

like Hans (enkhome) from the Netherlands did with his Avant ?

It would look a lot like the style of the BV4-103 / Beolab 10  Smile

WHY? Because i think that they're  hideous and are very un-natrual looking. Back then, they were beautiful, but time goes by and this design has not aged well.

    Oh no....

    Never touch this fantastic TV.

The format of the screen is 4:3
Build in an 16:9 would be complicated.

And the Center speaker, not so good....
    And outdated dolby surround.

But with DVD it is refurbished...

    Re: AV9000 that takes DVD's [:O]

It would not have to be an increase in screen size...

If the basic look could be preserved, why just change the vcr to dvd.

    Or would a built-in 16:9 screen not "fit" regarding its width/height ?
