 I have the Beosound 9000 with a pair of Beolab 8000 speakers. I am looking to get a pair of headphones do I need an headphone amp? Any recommendations, B&O or other makes?

If you conduct a search of the General froum - you'll find this subbject has been covered several times before and there are several recommendations from members. (Personally I'd recommend Sennheiser HD600's or HD650's).

Agree. I have all the B&O headphones and never use any of them except A8s for mobile use. I use either Sennheiser HD600s or Grado RS1s. I do use a headphone amplifier and the ones fitted to most devices are an afterthought. I don't know about the one in the BS9000, but the one in the BC2 is dire. I use a Musical Fidelity X-Can V3.
