Hi,

My old Beomaster 3000-2 works well,  except with FM Radio where i have only one channel workin.

 When i use the TAPE entry i have  stereo, but with radio it doesn't work.

This happens since last summer. I travelled a lot with my beomaster  ( 2000 km in a trailer...)

What could be wrong ?

Hi Théo

Your BM3000-2 may have dirty switches or may need a capacitor kit.  User Dillen can supply one of these kits with very informative diagrams showing where the capacitors go.  If one channel is missing from all FM presets and the manual FM then it is most likely to be a capacitor problem.

Cracked solders at the frontmost edge of the tuner board where (I think 4) metal loops take the signals to the switchbank board.

Alternatively, the switches themselves.

EDIT: It's true that capacitors cause many problems, a kit is available and it's recommended to replace the lot, though in this
particular case, there are not really many electrolytic caps in the signal way that only serves the signal from the tuner.

Hi All,

I opened my beomaster but i couldn't solve my problem. Sure i should have disassembled it entirely but it's not very easy for me, ( i'm afraid not to re assemble it correctly).  So what i saw didn't give me any indication of what is wrong.

So worse, i'll stay with as it is.
