    Beo4 remote - can it control non-B&O plasma

    Hi all

     

    does anyone know if it is possible for my Beo4 remote to control my Philips plasma tv? if so, how do i go about doing it? can it also work my freeview box?

    The only way to do this is to use a third party controller (if available). Have a look at

    I have just had a quick look myself and note that this is for other makes of players and Sat decoders not non B&O TVs - sorry!

    Lintronic sells solutions, as does irTrans, which has a B&O to non-B&O converter that is quite inexpensive. Both have solutions that translate the non-standard B&O IR frequency to the universally used frequencies.

    If you are a good shot, you could throw the Beo4 at the on/off button.
    Don't risk it if you are not a good aim, it could work out expensive.
