Re: New B&O sub woofer - what is there to come?
Lets just hope that the new sub they bring out is finally as competent as the other speakers in the range.

As a very happy owner of a BeoLab 2, I'm pretty curios about this new thing. ;)

Re: New B&O sub woofer - what is there to come?
It is supposed to look like a flower or a trumpet and have 2 drivers in opposite direction in order to cancel vibration and can be attached to the wall.
I too would like to see it.

Here's ELAC's version of a double-opposite subwoofer. It has an ICE power amp. Perhaps Beo is going to build something similar...?

I think it should. Not many people here in the forum likes the Beolab 2. Besides, the Beolab 2s don't dig deep enough to be considered as a real subwoofer.

Agree,
I think they discontinue the beolab 2 and go for a whole new concept.

Re: New B&O sub woofer - what is there to come?
I meant the Beolab2s isn't able to go down to 20Hz relatively flat without producing huge amounts of distortion. The driver in the Beolab2 is way too small and the bass alignment employed is for power and not for depth. But of course if you like the Beolab2s then you have nothing to be worried about.

Re: New B&O sub woofer - what is there to come?
W.E. is right.
The Beolab 2, in terms of Subwoofers only "tickle the surface".
It's way too small with way too small drivers.
ELAC is pretty close to my heart, as I used to have their flagship speakers, for my high-end system before I went for the Beolab 5's.
The ELAC 2060 and especially the 2080 subwoofer are really good. I hope Beo will make something like this. I don't need one, but I'm sure many would appreciate one in their setup.
