    Beocenter 9500+Beovision Avant V.OPT A.OPT

    Hello,

Something wrong with external speakers and now in repair.

We had the A.opt 0 and V.opt 2 for using the external speakers but for now

we would love to be able to use the Avant's speakers while using the Beocenter again (which are linked by a converter)

    Help is appreciated.

    Maurice

    Re: Beocenter 9500+Beovision Avant V.OPT A.OPT

    Hi Maurice.
I think you just need to 'remove' the speakers from the Avant.
    Press
    TV
Menu (twice if you have a STB)
    4 (Setup)
    2 (Sound)
    2 (Speakers)

The Front speakers will be highlighted in Red

Press ^ until it says "None"

    Press 'Go'
I think you can leave the options as they are, but if you have any passive speakers plugged into the 9500 (Does it have pasive sockets???), then I would put them both in Option 1 and use the AV button to toggle between the speakers.
    Hope this helps

    Andy T.

    Poor me, never win owt!

    Re: Beocenter 9500+Beovision Avant V.OPT A.OPT

Sorry, we have a misunderstanding here. I have now put both V.opt and A.opt, through Beo4, on 1 and now the Avant works as it should but when switching to the Beocenter there is no sound through the Avant produced and this is what I would like.

Hope my problem is clearly described now.

    Help wanted, Maurice

    Re: Beocenter 9500+Beovision Avant V.OPT A.OPT

    Hi Maurice,

The setting V.OPT in 2 and the A.OPT in 0 was correct.

Note that a Powerlink cable should be connected between Beocenter 9500 and the Beolink converter

to be able to hear sound from the 9500 through the Avant internal speakers.

If your Avant is equipped with a Dolby Surround module, the Avant will not play sound in stereo,

therefore you need to set the Front Speaker Setup to NONE (setp --> sound --> speaker)

I think the powerlink cable between the Beolink and the Beocenter is not used for the sound. The datalink is used for the sound.

The powerlink cable is not compulsory, but if present must be a fully wired, and is used to transfer the volume information, so the you can turn the volume up and down on the Beocenter, and the AVANT will turn the volume up or down accordingly.
