    beolink passive

Hope someone can help with what i think is proberbly a simple problem

I have a beosound overture running passive speakers in one room through a beolink passive. I now want to run a second pair of passive speakers in another room independantly using another beolink passive and an ir sensor. I have connected the second beolink passive the ouverture using a powerlink 3 cable.all the speakers in both rooms are working fine when the ouverture is turned on at source, however i can't seem to get the second beolink passive to work indepenantly using the ir sensor. does anyone have the answer.

    Thanks Jim

    Re: beolink passive

    hi,

this may be a stupd question, but ...

why not connect the second beolink passive with master link ?  if you want the speakers to be independant, i belive that they will need a master link connection.

To get a passive to work with a IR sensor you need to connect the passive to the Ouverture with a masterlink cable.

    Hi Jim,

joeyboygolf is correct, you need to use the Masterlink input to the Beolink passive.  Masterlink cables don't have to just run "point-to-point", they can be cut and joined using junction boxes to allow multiple connections in different rooms.

    Best regards,

    Steve.
