    B&O in Fortune Magazine

There was mention of B&O in the Jan 19th Fortune Magazine section "Life at the Top" which had a page showing offices of 3 people, Kalle Hvidt Nielsen of B&O, Sharen Turney of Victoria's Secret and Daniel Libeskind, an architect. Nielsen's page title was "Lose the Clutter" and features a photo of him in his spartan office. Did anyone else see this? I think it was good for B&O.

You might be interested in knowing that Daniel Liebekind uses a BeoSound 9000 to compare different recordings of Bach's music. Now he's an architect, but he was a competition class musician in his early years. He puts different recordings of selected works on his BS9000, and skips back and forth between them, to compare.

I'd like to point out how absolutely spectacular the BV8 looks on its sculptured floor stand - pleased I have one like it in my writing room.

My favourite line in the article is -

"And, as you might expect from the maker of high-end CD systems and other electronics, you won't see any masses of tangled cords".

That's 'cos they never have them attached in their photographsLaughing

Yes, I noticed that quote - funny, you couldn't have more cables behind my BV7-40, with the RF box, Sky box, PS3, speakers and so on!

"the small hamlet of Sturer in the northwest corner of Denmark." deserves remark.

    A--  It's not a hamlet.
    B--  It's not called Sturer.

At least it's in the northwest corner of Denmark.

They're cute, if you're an architect or interior designer you can ask B&O to send you a set!

How are you doing with the BL5/Mac mini?

    Re: B&O in Fortune Magazine

The mini and BL5 are working great together, however I expect the sync cable is broken. Been running the mini in iTunes and DVD on a piggyback ride using the BS9000 to keep the Beolabs alive and controlled.

Hoping to get a solution for the sync cable tomorrow...

BTW I got the DVD fixed in the mini, and I'm now able to use the Beolab5's as speakers for DVD. The sound is quite good! The video up-sampling is great.

So what will Beo charge me for the miniatures?

    Re: B&O in Fortune Magazine

When I saw what you quoted, Andy, I was horrified at first. (Prematurely) I concluded Fortune rather rudely attempted to relate Kalle and B&O to certain question Hamlet asked himself ... Embarrassed Big Smile

Hmm. I was under the impression that Hamlet was in Helsingør (English: Elsinore), which to the best of my knowledge is in northeastern Denmark, but then perhaps I am confused on that point. Wink

    Re: B&O in Fortune Magazine

Indeed, beobuff - they turned the original character to "small", spelled its name with "h" and placed it geographically to "Sturer"! Big Smile
