    Wii connecting Bv740 MKII

Any idea of the best way to connect a wii in this configuration?

For initial use I am using the camera socket and would I like a better picture and of course the best sound. There are Wii to RGB scart cables and a Wii to component cables available but not included with the console. I'm not sure in my situation which of these or another idea is best. Unfortunately my cabinet is 5 mtrs away but I do have a spare scart cable from the BV7 to the cabinet.

The DVI socket is being used by a Panasonic DMR-BW-500, I think the component connection is unavailable whilst this is in use. The BV7-40 only has one DVI port and no HDMI ports.

    Any help much appreciated.

    Thanks, Beoaus

For better video quality, use the YPbPr (component video) connection Yes - thumbs up

So I would need a Scart to Component adapter ...not sure my BV7 takes component? Would that also carry the sound?

    Thanks for your help, Beoaus.

    Re: Wii connecting Bv740 MKII

Much of the information is in other posts so I'll summarise from best picture I have found down.

    BV7-40 MK11

The Component section above the DVI socket, then the left and right channels on rear of the BV7 (AV4).
Wii Scart RGB cable, it carries sound as well. (these are not fully wired, so will not turn the TV on).
A Scart to RGB adapter, then use a Wii RGB cable or possibly component cable
Standard Wii composite cable connected to the Camera input using the left and right audio channels. This is the easiest mode to start with and the games look better than the Wii Menu's.

SVideo sits between the 3rd and 4th option.

    Feel free to correct.

Not sure how the BV7-MKIII handles this..
