    best telly for playstation 3

i currently have an aged mx 4000 connected to a playstation 3. not bad, but i can be much better

i was thinking of buying a beovision 8-26" or 8-32" (is there any difference between the two of them except screensize)

if i look at specs of other brands i see that a lot of them have more than 1 hdmi connections. why does b&o only have one or is this of minor importance........although more and more equipment uses hdmi ?

is the new floorstand for the 8-32" compatible with the 8-26"  ?

    thanks, m.

The Beovision 26" has been discontinued - I would suggest that this answers your question! The 32" is far more popular and you will find the bigger screen more effective. You can get an HDMI expander for the BV7 but I do not know if it works with the BV8.

Of course a 1080p screen is a must - BV7-40 MKIII is your minimum currently!

    PS3 is amazing on a BV7 Mk 3 running at 1080p.

Looked pretty good on Lee's BV9!

The BV8 works excellently with the PS3 - I've been using it this way for two months. The one HDMI is a bit of a nuisance, but I hooked up a 2-to-1 switcher. The switcher is one of those that automatically detects which input is active and connects that automatically, so no remote or buttons required. It works without a hitch.

The 32" size of the TV means its slightly lower resolution than full-HD isn't noticeable, unless it's being used as a computer monitor. Wonderfully sharp images in blu-ray movies and games alike. The built-in upscaler of the BV8 is better than the PS3's, so make sure you disable the PS3's automatic DVD upscaler. The PS3 has the added bonus of matching very nicely to the BV8's cabinet!

All-in-all, a very practical, stylish yet not too expensive TV option. I love it.

well, yesterday i went to the b&o store and could see all tv's live.

used to the mx series currently in our house (4000, 7000 and 8000) imho i was not impressed with the beovision 8 series.

yet i was with both screen and built quality of the beocenter 26" ..........but than i discovered that it does not have any hdmi connectors (or am i wrong).

as the idea was to buy a new tv which supports the playstation 3 my other alternative would be a beovision 7 but that comes in a different price range that i had in mind.

somebody here to convince what is best ?
