Is it possible to allocate the Beo4 'Sat' button to open AV1 or AV2? This was possible on older LX models but it is not apparent in the menu on this later MX (other than if an inbuilt beosat module is present). As a satellite reciever will be connected it would be preferable to using 'Vtape' for e.g.

I think you can affect it to V.AUX... which is still on the LIST button, but sound better than A.TAPE.

Another solution is to say it is a decoder, and then say TV Channel X needs the decoder. In that way when you call TV X you get the picture from the STB.

Why would VAux sound better than (assume you mean) VTape? The second option of using a TV channel is better for access provided it suppots the RGB signal and stereo sound which I'm sure it will. Using the SAT button for direct access would be more logical.

Yes i meant V.TAPE. I am not talking ablout the quality of sound... I was just saying that I thought it was more logic to call a set top box V.AUX rather than V.TAPE.

On my MX I do not think I can affect the SAT button to AV 1 or 2. But there are several version of the software.
