    2 way Beocenter 2300

I have just picked up a Beocenter 2300 and think it may be the 2 way version. It has the little window on the bottom left and after some commands from a bl1000 what looks like 4 red LED's flash behind the window. Its a couple of seconds after the I have pressed the button on the remote. Is this a sure sign that its the 2 way version. It doesnt respond to a MCP6500 but is that different signals? Does this mean I have an excuse to buy a Beolink 7000Laughing

Its type no. is 2617 so according to the product info page its 2 way. Should it respond to an MCP or are they not compatable

I don't think the MCPs have any effect on other equipment than the Beosystems they were designed for (5000 only for 5000, 5500/6500/7000 are compatible with each other).

Thats what I was hoping to hear. I take it a Bl7000 would work the BC2300 though.

    Re: 2 way Beocenter 2300

The Bl7000 will work perfectly with your Bc2300. As will the more ergonomic BL5000, (my first choice)

I still have my left that I got some 12 years ago, it's resting as a senior citizen in my parents house :)

Mine is 2-way, type nr 2616.

And the window is the trick, that's what sets it apart from the one-way version. I once had a one-way version as a second system, but didn't like it due to the one-way configuration. A hazzle with the remotes normally set to 2-way.
