Audi, Aston Martin and now ......

Quoted from B&O's latest financial report:

"With the three high-end car manufacturers Audi, Aston Martin and Mercedes-AMG as partners, Bang & Olufsen Automotive is well equipped to expand its position as the most attractive supplier of in-car sound systems."

Sorry if this had already been mentioned on the forums. However I am surprised that Audi have allowed B&O to sell to such a large competitor as Mercedes. Seeing as the automotive market has grown since day one for B&O, I thought it would be inevitable to see the in-car B&O range to move into Bentley and Lamborghini, but never Mercedes or BMW.

It's not Mercedes, it's only for Mercedes-AMG sport cars, while for Audi it's for the whole production...

Interesting move... Love AMG and the new generation of mercedes but is this a case that B&O simply attaches itself to all things luxury?

    Hope not...

    Indeed, only for AMG-Mercedes.

The AMG-division of Mercedes produces a relatively small number of cars

compared to the total number of cars produced by Mercedes.

Therefore i do not really understand the logic behind this new co-operation.

Is it prestige (B&O co-operating with several luxury brands / profiling ) ?

Or does the co-operation with Audi contain some kind of agreement

which limits the number of units for several years ? (exclusivity)
