I too have just aquired a Beogram 1000 which has been in storage and appears to have this problem.
It is in its original box and has all of the paperwork and a guarantee. Wonder if the local B&O dealer will honour it !!! Might just try for the crack.
I have decided the problem is dry bearings for the following reasons:-
- It has been in storage for ages and shows very little sign of wear (it looks brand new inside, no dust, etc), so the bearings shouldn't be knacked
- The belt shows no sign of slackness
- The unit starts slow but after a few minutes it reaches full speed and never misses a beat, therefore the motor can't be knackered.
Before I start stripping down, bearing in mind I paid £140 for this baby, can anybody confirm I am on the right tracks.
Cheers
