Hello I have just bought a beautiful beocentre 2002. There are 4 speakers. 2 of the speakers have long cables, whereas 2 of them are drastically short.... These speakers are the Beovox s30's

 

Is there somewhere I can purchase an adapter cable to make them longer....The pins are 2 pin, and I was looking to find an extension plug for 2 of the speakers, simply a male to female extension, so to speak....Can anybody help me? Any thoughts?

B&O will sell you exactly that - but it is expensive! However Maplins will sell you the plugs and sockets and obviously speaker wire! They even do screw terminal versions so you don't need to solder. You can make the cables exactly the length you wish!

thank you v much Yes there is a maplin in belfast....do you think it would be an easy matter of me bringing a cable to them to show them?

You could do but you just need two 2 pin male DIN plugs and two 2 pin sockets. Don't get too thick cable or it won't fit in the plug!

Maplin also sell ready made cables with moulded plugs which is exactly what you need LINK

                  Maplins also sell other adaptors to allow connection of other equipment such as a CD player to your Beocenter. Any advice you need please feel free too ask.
