Master Control Panel 5500 Problems :(

I sold my 7700 Unit and purchased a 5500 with the master control panel.

I have come across a few problems that i have no idea how to fix.

    1. The master control panel works with the unit, but the display does not stay on, its like the unit keeps restarting every few secs, which is annoying because you cant set the time or preset radio functions.

    2. The little door has broken hinges so it does not sit right, is there anyplace i can purchase a new door?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Welcome to Beoworld ! Yes - thumbs up

The MCP will stay on only a few seconds after the last operation and then turn off the displays, this is normal. Long enough, however, to allow you to set the clock etc. without rushing through.

The "Battery Low" indicator will normally show if the batteries are close to the end of their life but not always. If the batteries are VERY low, the MCP can (in rare cases) act like you describe without flashing the "Battery Low" lamp but then it's almost impossible to establish a two-way communication with the Beomaster. I suggest you try a new set of batteries.
