Who experiences "humming" noise on BV7-40 MKIII ?

Hi, as i wrote in an earlier post, i am having some problems with my 7-40 MKIII.

It has a noticably hunning noice when showing dark pictures, i can make the noise go away by switching "Adaptive Black" off, and turning the contrast up 2-3 tics.

Today my dealer came for the tv, and is sending it to Struer as a waranty case, i am not happy with a tv that costs nearly 80000dkr (aprox 10000punds), and makes more noise that a 100 pound Prosonic.

The dealer told me that he doesn't think thay can do anything about it, as far as he knows, it is "normal".

So my question is, are there any of you owners of 7-40MKIII that also has this low-pitch humming noise. When adaptive black is on, the noise comes and goes depending of the darknes of the picture, with AB off, the humming is constant, with AB off and contrast turned up, the noise is almost gone, but then the image is to bright :(

     Thanks

I also hear a humming noise when the backlighting of the LCD-screen (LTA400HS-LH2) is on.

I tested it by turning on the radio or playing a CD in the internal DVD player (screen is off) and then pressed [MENU] on the Beo4 so that the backlighting switches on to display the TV-menu.

But I can only hear it when the room is totally silent, the volume is muted and when I'm sitting very close to the TV (1 meter)
I can't hear the humming noise when I turn up the volume.
I don't play the TV very loud. (Volume between 20 and 35)

Ok, i can hear the humming noise from 2,5m away, even when the volume is at aprox. 25-30. I have the same screen as you, can you tell me if your tv is on floorstand or hanging on the wall. Mine is hanging on the wall, using a "wall-close" bracket from STB Brackets, and i am worried that by hanging it so close to the wall, the humming is beeing bounced off the wall, and therfore is so loud in my living room.

My TV is on a floorstand (from B&O).

You could be right, maybe the humming is bounced of the wall.

Isn't there a possibility to test the TV when it's not on the wall. Maybe your dealer can test it with a table, floor or service stand.

When i first got the tv and noticed the noise, i got a replacement and it also made the noise when it was still standing on the floor in the travelbox, maybe not as loud, and i actually had one home for a trial period on floor stand, and i didn't notice the noise on that one.

Anyway, i will hear what B&O says, and make my decision from that, perhaps it ends up with a 50" Plasma instead :)
