Beosystem 2 it's not full HD?

    Hi everyone,

Need some advice on this subject please: I'm acquiring a used Beovision 4-50'' + Beosystem 2. The problem is that some of my friends are telling me that the beosystem 2 is not full HD, but is only HD ready (even in the retailer they could not explain this accurately).

the beosystem 3 being the 'full HD' real and only option(...)

Could someone help me interpreting this differences here?

    Thanks in advance

    pedro

Re: Beosystem 2 it's not full HD?

    Hi,

As the BS2 does not have any HD connections on it it is purely acting as a switching box so it is the resolution of the screen that is the important question. If the BS2 has the hd software it will tell the screen to receive the input from the DVI socket not the VGA when a HD source is selected.

    Hope this helps.

    Ok I see. Many thanks.

So I assume there's some BS2 units with HD software, is that it, or should I assume this only happens with BS3?

Technically the BS2 or 1 will never actually handle HD, it will just pass the signal straight through to the panel - which means you don't get any of the B&O picture processing. A BeoSystem 3 will provide a far superior image!
