This is the official B&O "Tip" to their dealers:

How to connect Ipod/MP3 players directly to BeoLab 3, 9 and 4000 MK II

Ipod/MP3 players can be connected directly to the Bang & Olufsen active loudspeakers to get improved sound reproduction in your home.

For a stereo setup you need:

     ·
2 x 6270856 phono male to Power Link line-in cables
     ·
1 x 6270433 stereo mini-jack to two phono female plugs

    Then

     1.
Connect the cables to the loudspeakers
     2.
Connect the the Ipod/MP3 player to the stereo mini-jack headphone plug

     3.
Switch on and adjust the volume

macsat goes right to the source!  Bravo!!

Don't forget to switch the BeoLab 3's to 'Line' input.

Exactly as above, but make sure the BeoLab 3s have their switches set to 'line' mode.

I'd also get an in-line volume control. I've just bought one for my BeoLab 4s, £3 from Maplins. My BL4s were way too loud, even on their 'reduced PC setting', BeoLab 3s would be absolutely deafening.

    Re: beolab 3

Does anyone know any B&O stores that have these cables in stock? My Beolab 3's arrive tomorrow and i think my local store has about a 1 week lead time.

    Thanks!
