Peter :Beoworld's favourite Hi-Fi mag has a review of the BS4 and BL4s in it this month. Surprisingly good review though I note the reviewer couldn't stop himself from changing the power leads! I really do despair sometimes. If they are going to do this, do a double blind trial and pick the difference. They won't of course but still go on about how it brings on deeper bass extension. How? !
They should have used one of these! I have seen gold plated ones before but not but anti-vibration! Quite why my hifi would be moving is a little hard to fathom.
I love the use of capitals too, an ESSENTIAL upgrade!
How can you live without this?
Simon
Seen this before - the funny thing is that it does comply to the standard for "plug bourne" fuses -
"Fuses for fitting to BS 1363 plugs must conform to BS 1362. This specification describes a sand-filled, ceramic-bodied cylindrical fuse"
They have used glass just so you can see the internals and thereby failed to meet the required safety standard!
Would be funny if all of your "top-end" gear went up in smoke and the insurance company refused to pay out because your £50 fuse didn't meet the required regulations
On the other hand I can see that the sand of a standard fuse will muffle the sound somewhat.
Generally speaking, you aren't learning much if your lips are moving.
