    DVD 1 Mark2

    I have recently bought a 2nd hand dvd1.  I presume it is the mark two version as it has an S Video connection on the back and there is no switch for selecting a different TV.  I did not get an instruction booklet.  The DVD works fine but to play you have to press GO twice and I cannot get a menu bar by pressing any of the coloured buttons, also you have to press GO before scanning forward or backward.  Can anyone tell me if this is how this version of DVD1 works or do I have a problem with the machine?
