My Beolink 7000 that I just bought (type 1540), indicated ''no contact''. Removing and adding components did not work. I went through the forums and read about the capacitor problem. I changed the two next to the IR eye as indicated on the forum and it worked fine. Very happy. For three hours.
I changed the other 3 as well and cleaned the board. Again "no contact". Beoworld member ''The Bogener'' advised me to clean the board again to take away any last remaining acid from the leaking capacitors. I let everything dry and after two hours it worked! I played with it all night. What an amazing remote it is! It's the first time that I am using a two-way remote since I only recently bought a Beosystem 7000 and 4500. I got up this morning and the first thing I did was testing the remote. It is still working and I hope it stays that way. The reach of the remote in daylight (we have a lot of big windows), seems to be about 3 meters. Is that normal, or should it go further?
