    Beoport + Beosund 3000 (SW 1.2): Useless or possible?

    Hi,

     

    I've just ordered a Beoport and want to use it with my Beosound 3000 (SW 1.2). I read through the forums that my BS3000 needs a SW-Version higher that 2.1.

     Is my old BS3000 useless to operate with Beoport? Will nothing work when my Beoport arrives?

    Can I make a Softwareupgrade of my BS3000 from my dealer? How long does this take and how much does it cost.

    That's exactly what I get done by a dealer right now.

    Pricing is appr. 100 Euro (even though another dealer asked for 153,15 Euro). We will see.

    I suppose it is just fitting an EEPROM...

    thank you for your answer. Do you know how long it takes? Do they have to send it in or do they change the Eprom in the store?

    Since my system is in the store right now I don't know yet, but they said it takes appr. 10 days, they do it in the store.

    10 days? Oha ... that's a looooong time without my system.

     

     btw: Do you know what the optional IR-Eye costs?
