    Beogram to match BS9000

I recently recovered a lot of LP records in my storage area. I would love to get the feeling of playing a record every once in a while! I am als very curious how this would sound!

What would be the best Beogram to match my BS9000?

I guess I need one with a pre-amp or install a seperate pre-amp; could you please share experiences?

    Thanks for the info!

from a purely aesthetic point of view...
    how about a 3300?

i am looking at mine right now. the aluminum trim is brushed and matches the base of the bs9000. the small dark grey trim on the lid (front-top) is a near match for the body of the bs9000. it is tangential, and fairly affordable and available (at least in the states).

    if you added printed discs
-like the ttable ones that would be similar (or same as the 3300 platter) -wow! i thk it would look fantastic!

also, a tx2 might look nice (if you prefer the "boxey" look over the "slopey" look)
here is a thread i participated in w/ regards to pre-amps which you will need (in this case linking a bc9300 w/ a tx2)... there are some other threads on here too...

I use a 4500 which works quite well, you are unable to control the beogram via a remote but has the riaa which is needed when adding a beogram to a 9000.

I have been using a Beogram 6500 along with the 9000 for years, and they complement each other beautifully, IMHO.
Love B&O, but no longer addicted.

    Re: Beogram to match BS9000

For simplicity you'd be best suited with a Beogram with an inbuilt RIAA (not present in the BS9000) so my advice would be a 3500/4500/6500 or 7000, the latter 3 will match better than the grey 3500. As stated earlier you won't have remote control but to be honest it doesn't really matter when you have to manually place on a record, besides which the skip/track finding function on these isn't brilliant in any case.

Aesthetically it has to be the 4000 series turntables.  No remote is no big deal, and hiding an RIAA is no problem either.  I liked the aesthetic match so much I chose a 4002 over the 8002....

Just my 10 rubles worth.... ;)

In that case a Beogram 6000 would be perfect! RIAA included and 4000 type performance.

    Why didn't *I* think of the 6000?  ;)

I'd have loved a 4000, but out of my budget at the moment.... :(

A friend of mine got one for about £20 with a good MMC20CL!  Lucky so and so!

That's the kind of luck I could do with... not the sort I'm having lately :(

As a friend of mine said: 'If it wasn't for bad luck, I wouldn't have any luck at all..."

That said, the Beomaster 900K is now finished (thanks Frede!)  and the silver Beogram 1000 that arrived today has really good speed (the adjustment works fine) and the wow & flutter is great too. The RIAA is installed (Thanks again Frede!) and it works great with the 900K.  All I've got to do is swap the arm for one of my others (the finger lift is missing) and sort out the damping on the arm lowering and it's finished too!

Next project is the Beocenter 7700.... :)

    Re: Beogram to match BS9000

Thanks for the info. I have been searching for some good second hand turntables, so far I did not find one with a reasonable price, seems like the RIAA versions are very popular. But I will continue to look!

well, i finally got around to connecting a beogram to the bs9000...

i chose between a 4500 and a tx2. the 4500 is easy as it has the riaa, but i think the tx2 more cosmetically suits the 9000.

    which did i choose?

    tx2

    TX2 looks really great there

    burantek,

The 4500 looks stunning!  The beosystem 4500 and Beogram 4500 are on my wish list, but they are very hard to find.

I have a Beogram 4500 just like yours with the white strip.
I could never sell it, as it was my very first ever B&O purchase.
