    Beolink passive

I know this has been asked before, but I just want to make sure I do not do anything stupid:

    - Can the beolink passive also be used for active speakers (the connection is there, but if I remember correctly this does not seem to function)? I am pretty sure this is the case, but a confirmation would be nice.

    - I thought the beolink inpunt of the beolink passive could also be used to connect passive speakers directly to a beolink output. Is this correct? If yes, are any settings to the beolink passive needed to do this?

    Thanks!

    Re: Beolink passive

    Bieele,

The Powerlink socket on the BeoLink Passive is an INPUT, not an output.  It is used when one wishes to attach passive speakers to one of the modern BeoSound/Vision/Centers  Inthis case it is actually an ML-MCL converter or the old MCL-2P.   To use it this way, you need a fully wired Powerlink cable (MK 2), and you do NOT attach the IR sensor.

If by your 2nd question you meant PowerLink, then what I just wrote is correct.  If you meant MasterLink, then you would need the IR sensor.

    Thanks Russ,
