    how much for beomaster 6000?

I have an Beomaster 6000 made in the early 80's, it's a lovely piece of kit - how much would i expect someone to pay for it if i were to sell it? It's in good condition.

    Welcome to Beoworld !

As with everything B&O, condition is everything and what appears good to someone may not do so to others.
In short; Your Beomaster is worth what people are willing to pay.
Anything from very little to a lot, really, also depending if the right buyer can be found.
Keeping an eye on f.e. Ebay will probably give you an idea.

Hard to say without checking out the Beomaster myself but I'd say something between 25 and 250 euros. Taking it to Ebay will bring you closer to the right price though a bit of luck and gaming is included in doing so.

I sold a newly restored and mint condition BM6000 recently out of my own collection, Ebay bidding ended at EUR 200 or so.

At this point I should add that Martin's equipment is known as some of the best and hence sought after. I would expect that most other 6000s would realise less. However the vagaries or eBay means that this is not always the case!

I got mine given (free)Big Smile I think you could safely take that as a minimum!

Assuming yours is in good condition I would guess at around £50-70 but as they don't come up  often enough for there to be a 'going rate' a lot of it will be down to luck.

I am afraid the Beocords are worth depressingly little - shame as these are exceptional decks.

Re: how much for beomaster 6000?

I'm with Peter on this, the Beocord will probably drag the price of the Beomaster down with it so sell them seperately. There are going to be more people interested in the beomaster than the beocord and some will be deterred from bidding as they won't want to lumbered with it. List them a few minutes apart and anyone wanting both will bid accordingly, trust me - I know how these things go on ebay.

    Chris.

The use of metaphors should be avoided like the plague. They're like a red rag to a bull to me.

    I agree with+Chris  and Peter.

The Beocord is a lovely unit, but will fetch depressingly little as  tapes are rarely used any more. Maybe £30-40 if it's in good working order, but it could fetch less.

If you sell it with the Beomaster people will regard it as a free bonus item and bid no more than they would have done for the Beomaster alone.
