    sick Beo4 needs help

    Dear Friends

now I know the beo4 is a very robust remote - given some of the stories I have read about them.  Howver, I have a problem with mine, all the buttons just seem to have stopped working - the display says TV and will not change to any other function.  I have tried taking the batteries out to remove power and have also tried replacing them but nothing has improved.  However - upon replacing the batteries (exisiting or new ones) it will take one comand and always TV and will then not respond to anything - not even a long press on the red dot close down - but the display still shows TV.

I have taken the remote apart (have done this with others to replace broken screens) but the inside looks fine, no obvious signs of any residue.  Can I do a hard reset on the remote to reset back to factory settings? .

Thanks in advance - fortunately I have other remotes to use but its a bit frustrating

    Hi,

Its possible its suffered some water ingress ... in most cases, replacement of the flexi circuit that the rubber buttons touches will restore it to working order.  They can be ordered from your local dealer.
