 Is there a way to control my VHS VX5500 with a Beo4 remote control( the new model with A.MEM and V.MEM)?

The VX5500 is usually controlled by the TV so if you have a Beovision, it will work. It is not really designed for use with the Beo4 though so some commands are not understood. I think the coloured buttons may not do what you want.

Bit trickier if you don't have a Beovision! You will need an external IR transceiver which will be difficult to find.
