I am trying to help set up my Mum's Avant as it seems the settings may have been tampered with. Could someone kindly advise as to the optimal settings for Picture in the Menu and anything else relevent. It is set up with Sky+. Only have the next couple of hours to do this! With thanks.

Very close to the factory setting. I tweaked it very slightly. I think the original settings are in the user guide.

User guide page 22 has Brilliance 32, colour 32, contrast 44. 

I didnt think I'd altered it that much??

AV9000 set to:

Brilliance 32

Colour 32

Contrast 44

The AV9000 has a newer tube but neither has seen that much action!  

Peter, will you now change your Avant settings to those of the user guide or leave them as they are?
