    Beogram 1000 belt measurements

    Hello,

I have a Beogram 1000 type 5203-5. I would need the belt measurements (length and thickness) for it. It has a round belt. Any help would be appreciated.

    Regards,

    Ville

    Hello Ville,

    Welcome to Beoworld !

There's a seller on Ebay listing these belts at a most reasonable price, Many B&O belts are odd sizes and I doubt you'll be able to find it even in well-assorted stores.

Thanks for the info Martin. I was able to find this only from e-bay Germany – the price seems very reasonable indeed, but unfortunately it seems very difficult to order from there to Finland (the pages are in Germany and it would require some kind of identity verification by post office or something). The picture of the belt for Beogram 1000 there doesn't look right, it is a flat belt and mine is round. (I would ask the seller about this but even that requires the verification)

Yes, you need to be an Ebay member to buy from an Ebay seller, but becoming that is easy and free.

The belts pictured looks round to me (item 350020950050) and the listing also describes them as being round. I never bought from this Ebay member myself but looking through his feedback I would have no worries doing so if needed.

If you still have the old belt, you can get an "emergency solution" by cutting out 5-8mm from the old belt and glue the ends back together using superglue (cyanoacrylate). Afterwards grind the joint lightly using fine sandpaper to remove any glue remains on the surface. As said, not the best solution but it may keep you going until a new belt is found.
