    volume fails

My first post, but I'm at a loss as to what to do with my system. The volume on the Beovision 6 keeps falling and muting of its own accord. Have I pressed sonething incorrectly, or is there a quick fix?

    many thanks

    Re: volume fails

Hi and welcome to the forum!

Could it be that there is something wrong with the remote controller? It could be that it keeps sending a signal to the TV. Try to remove the remote from the room where the BV6 is standing.

Agree! look for the simple things first. Do you have any other products and are they linked?

The volume button on the BEO4 remote has 3 functions.

Volume up, volume down and silent.

You use up and down on a regular basis. Silent only when the phone rings, or someone is at your door.

To use silent mode press the button in the middle.

I think you do this unintentionally...

Thanks for your advice - unfortunately it doesn't seem to be the Beo4. Even with it in a room which isn't linked to the system the volume will fall or mute of its own accord, occasionally coming back on (again of its own accord). It's linked to a Beocenter 2, which has speakers throughout the house (and originally a Beolink PC2, which was so tempramental it has been disconnected).

The first thing I would do is unlink it. If it still has problems, the fault is in the TV. I do think it is more likely that the ML system is somehow at fault though.

Try unplugging the ML cable and see if it still does it. If it does, sounds like a dealer issue.
