    BeoVision 6 versions.

    Hi,

I have a BeoVision 6 22". I was wondering whether any updates were made during its lifetime?

E.g. for BeoVision 7 there has been MKI, MKII and MKIII versions, but has there also been MKI, MKII, etc versions of the BeoVision 6? And if so, what has been the changes between the different versions of BeoVision 6?

Any one knows something about this?

    Thanks,
    Lars.

    Lars,

The Beovision 6-22 had a production life from the end of 2003 to June 2006 and there was only ever one version.

Thanks Keith for the promt answer. So I guess I know which version I have Big Smile

what about the BeoCenter 6 23"? It has had a relatively short production life until now, so I assume there is only one version of that as well, right? Reason for my interest is that I am considering replacing my BeoVision 6 22" with a BeoCenter 6 23" and wondering if I should buy a 2nd hand BeoCenter 6 23" or a new one.

    BR,
    Lars.

    Lars,

The Beocentre 6-23 on the other hand is into its second generation meaning the current units are Mark II.

I have one in my gym with Dab which works well for that envirnoment.

If you intend to purchase a Beocentre 6-23 I would go for the newer version.

    Thanks Keith.

Then comes the obvious question Smile So what is the difference between BeoCenter 23 MKI and MKII? What has been updated/changed/improved.

    BR,
    Lars.

    Lars,

There is really only two major differences between the Mark I and Mark II Beocentre 6-23

    • The LCD screen is different where the contrast ratio on the Mark I was 800:1, with the new screen it is now 1200:1
    • The Mark I was NOT HD ready, you could purchase a kit to make it HD ready, but I would be surprised if many people purchased the upgrade. Mark II's were HD ready and were introduced in April 2007, I had one of the very first available.

Other than looking at the 4 digit type number label you cannot tell the difference just by looking at the unit. In the UK DAB radio was standard, but apparently in other countries it was an option.

    Regards Keith....
