Can anyone help me with my beosound ouverture?

hi there, recently came into posession of a beosound ouverture. The unit was originally from overseas (U.K). I attempted to plug it into a power source here in Canada and the red led light lit right up. however, this is the only funtionality of the unit. does anyone know any of the common failures that can occur here? I would like to attempt to repair this unit myself before sending it into an authorized repairer. any help will be appreciated.

     thanks in advanvce.

    Hi Phillbert. Welcome to Beoworld.

I'n no techy but the UK voltage is 220~240v and in Canada it is 110v. If your Ouverture is a standard UK model then it won't work. It would need some sort of transformer to work.

I don't know if putting 240v through a 110v power supply would cause any damage. At the very least I would have thought it could have blown an anti surge fuse on the power supply.

If you think nobody cares, try missing a couple of payments.
