Re: Beosytem 3 and projectors
I use Sanyo PLV-Z4 720P with my BV9 and it´s amazing picture!! But I can not pilot it with Beo4/5. But I have a server wich is connected to BV9s cinemamodule So when I press "cinema" (format 0) the beamer goes on and after 15 sec the screen comes down and my LC2 dims down etc and BV9 goes in to cinema mood

Re: Beosytem 3 and projectors
I have a Hitachi TX300 connected to my BV7 MK II, so no BS3 (not yet). BV7`s Cinema Control Module controls a Lintronic box, and Lintronic controls mains for projector and motor screen (X-10), lights (LC2s) via IR, Hitachi, screen via IR. Works great. I just have to press Format 0 (Cinema). Picture settings can be controlled by Beo4/5. Picture-quality on 110" screen is amazing.

Re: Beosytem 3 and projectors
I have a JVC HD1 with the BS3. In general, it woks fine, however, the BS3 does some "intersting" processing to even 1080p images, the image is to sharp and the black level is not 100% correct. Also the BS3 works with a much colder colour temperature than normal, which is B&O standard. If you use only B&O products and recommended projectors this is not a big issue as all components are adjusted to this standard. However, if you mix (like me) products than there are the drawbacks listed above. I see the differnce if I connect the source (e.g. Toshiba XE1 HD-DVD) direct to the projector instead of going through the BS3. Also the BS3 does not support 1080/24p today. In general, the BS3 with a Plasma and a projector is a cool setup Karsten

Re: Beosytem 3 and projectors
Not sure what projectors B&O recommends these days as the ones I know which are on the list of the BS3 are not longer in production (as far as I know). Both Samsung are EOL, and the two SIM projectors as well (and also have some typical DLP drawbacks which would stop me from buying anyway) The HD1 is a great device, the black level is just breathtaking (e.g. Space Cowboys HD), also bright enough for even a 3m screen. (please keep in mind the enjoy that level of blacks, you need a dedicated cinema "black box" room) I would recommend to take a look at the new HD100 and the Sony VP60 as well. The HD1 is not silent to the extend I would love to have, also the lens shift is not motorized and no VGA input. But with the recent price drop a performance you just dreamed to get 2 years agao at home and today for that price... Karsten

Re: Beosytem 3 and projectors
Currently I have 15m HDMI cable with a HDMI to DVI adapter, not sure of the brand of the cable, but it works with 1080p. As the BS3 will move closer to the projector, I will order a new 5m cable, this time a low cost one just to check out if it works. Karsten

Re: Beosytem 3 and projectors
Thanks for that Karsten. I am having switchng issues with the tv,sometimes the dvd will go to the projector others it wont but the tv channels and the dtv is ok now as other times can't get the dtv or dvd but the tv goes to the pj. Im using a 15m hdmi cable which is 1008p and up to 10.5 mb transfer rate. The Bv 7 Mk3 has a fab picture the more I watch it the better it gets! Just need to sort out the projecter bit. What Settings do you have on you Bs3 Karsten? Thanks.
