    It looks good.

40 seconds to start up is far too long though. I understand that it has to "load" the hard drive... ,8,1 (some of your will remember this....lol) Why should you have to wait that long just to watch a dvd.

Please let us know your thoughts when you start to make timer recordings with it..

Can you timer record from a satellite channel?

There is no STB-controller in the DVD2

now I have add the Sat reciver to the DVD-2 and now it becomes tricky, can not find out how to add this correctly.

Same here. You need the HDR1/2 to get this working, for timer recording.

    Here is a workaround,

Most set top boxes have 2 scarts, so you can connect one to the TV and one to the EXT1 socket of the DVD2.

You can programme the DVD2 to record at a certain time from EXT1, and - separately- you can programme the set top box to tune to a channel at a certain time, using the set top box own scheduler.

    The Good:

    • It should work, and all with the Beo4

    The Bad

    • it is not elegant,
    • it require the 2 clocks to be in sync,
    • it does not "lock" the channel on the set top box, like another recorder would do,
    • it will not allow recording of the DVB module in the Beovision.

Beautiful design though, and the cabinet quality is stunning! Not too sure about the innards at the moment, but I don't have much experience with the DVD2. Didn't seem too user friendly when I first had a play, but I probably just need to play with it more!

Overall though, beautifully finished, and absolutely looks the part.

    Hello,

    since 3 days I am also a owner of a DVD2.

I have a BV6.22. The first scart is connected to a Beocord V8000 via a Samsung Digibox. In the connections menu (VTape + STB). The DVD2 is with the second scart connencted and as VAUX in the connections menu registered.

If I look TV via the tuner of the DVD2 and want to record a programme always the V8000 starts and I cannot rrecord to the harddisk.

How can this be fixed. Any ideas?

     Unsure
