    connect beocenter 9000 to iPod

on the back of the 9000 there is 3 5pin round sockets and what appears to be 2 rca sockets. I have a lead that goes from 3.5mm male jack plug to 2 rca male plugs. I have tested it on similar outputs on the telly and the audio comes through. But when I plug into the 9000's rca I hear nothing. I cant find the manual so I just tried

    phono

    tape 2

    Aux 1,2,3,4 8

    nothing

     am I doing something wrong?

    Regards

    Joe

The RCA's on a 9000 are outputs from the pre-amp so that's why you hear nothing.

You need to buy 3.5mm jack to din cable or RCA to din adapter and plug into the AUX socket on the 9000

Lifestyle has a very nice cable that will do the job.

You can also use as DIN->RCA>minijack converter. Can be found in many shops.

Plug this into AUX and the Beocenter 9000 will play your I-pod just fine....I have tried it with several MP3 players!
