A long time ago I got a BL3500 and was having A.Aux issues.  Just so you know, when you upgrade the BL3500 to software 2.1 (it only took me three months, woot) you can, indeed, select A.Aux through the BL3500.  This makes having a music server and wi-fi a joy, especially with the iphone remote.
