    Re: 10disc CD changer...

It wasn't built by Sony. It was the original prototype model (non functional) built by David Lewis, he works with models when designing new products. It looks just like the BeoSound 9000 only longer. Very cool but obviously would have been less feasible. Have seen it in person, very cool.

I think the original poster is referring to the CMM-10 which was a US model designed to work with systems like the 7000 system. It is indeed based on a Sony car CD changer with a clever B&O Datalink interface. Seem to crop up in the US from time to time. I have seen one in the UK. It needs to go in a cupboard because it looks just like a Sony CD changer! Laughing

    Hi Peter,

Would that work with my Beocenter 9500.....????

THere was a cheap buy it now price on Ebay USA.....so i just picked it up...i'm guessing that Sony could re-furb it if necessary...??

Any possibility of getting a manual on this thing??

Yes, it will work with a 9500. It acts as if it is Tape 2 and responds to normal Datalink commands. I believe it takes a 12V supply. It is labelled as a B&O so I am sure Sony will disclaim any involvement! I dare say Tim Jarman, who has interests both in B&O and Sony would be delighted to help! I am afraid that I don't think I have this manual. Would probably be worth asking on Beolist, the Yahoo group as they are mainly US based.

Peter = B&O encyclopedia guru Cool

I think all BeoWorlders owe a thanks to you Peter. Your B&O knowledge continuously amazes me, and guess what?! I have also just seen your November quiz - could you have wanted to make it any more complex for us non-mathematical minded?! Laughing

I hope you will not be offended if my answer is way off the correct figure!

    Re: 10disc CD changer...

No wonder it was so cheap - the seller isn't including the separate power supply.  Apparently he realizes it might not be complete, which is why he's offering a 7-day return on it.  I have the player/power supply but haven't hooked it up to my Beosystem 6500 yet.

    Re: 10disc CD changer...

I don't have an extra power supply and they certainly wouldn't appear on eBay as a solo item very often.  Someplace I have the instruction manual tho - if you'll give me your email I'll scan it and send it to you.   I'll also email you a photo of the power supply showing the part number.

I think the converter is the clever bit. You'll not find one in the UK. US eBay would be the best bet.

    Re: 10disc CD changer...

I have a U.S. brochure from some years ago which shows the cd changer inside the F1000 furniture

The brochure is the one on the right.

QUESTION...does anyone have any more manuals, info, pamphlets ....other than the 3 page info that Peter has put on the site..(thanks Peter)...

    Thanks..>!!
