How do I clean my BL8000

    Hi

I would welcome any advice on polishing the aluminium pipes of my BL8000's, recently purchased pre-owned. Whilst they are in perfect condition, the pipes appear a  little misty, perhaps smoke or maybe something else.

    Any ideas?

Normally a mild detergent with a soft cloth is a good place to start.

Or alternatively, baby wipes! They are superb at lifting grime, tobacco residue etc and are perfectly safe to use on plastic and metal parts. After using wipe off with a soft cloth or kitchen towel. Perfect results every time!  It does make you wonder though about the poor baby's bottoms.....

    Cheers

In the shop we used only a wrung out chamois leather.  The imitation ones are fine also.  Just give the pipes a good wipe, and lightly wipe the speaker fabric - this will remove any dust or lint.  Then polish the pipes using a soft cloth.

Chamois leathers are great to wipe the screens on Beovisions - especially when anti reflex coated.  Do this in the morning when the TV is cold.  Lightly clean the screen and polish to a high shine with a soft clean cloth. NO CLEANING PRODUCTS.

I use those eyeglass cleaners you can get in any supermarket to clean mine. They remove fingerprints very well...

I only use a soft cloth on my tuba, but not often enough. The closer you get to it, the more finger prints and other traces can be seen. I don't treat it as good as my B&O.
