    BL7000 no contact

    Finally arrived!

Played with briefly this morning but have a wee problem..

I am trying to register the remote with my 6500 but I keep getting no contact.. is it because the batteries are dead?

The panel was showing volume etc when I first used it but then the standby line started to flash and hasnt worked since... i just keep getting no contact and dread the worst!!

Remote has been on charge for most of today so will try again when I get in.. remove and adding in componants etc.

    tia!

Remember to set the 6500 to option 1 first and then remove and add components. If it still does not work, let us know. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Very odd! Does the light on the 6500 flash when you reset the option to option 1?

Yep! i get a small square followed by a 1.

I tried both MCP and BL7000 but both show no contact which leaves me to think its the beomaster???

    Will try with my 4500..

Just to add, I have a mx7000 in the same room as the 6500 - could this be the reason why?

Well.. it works! with the 4500... but not the 6500?

Wonder why as the MCP used to work in two way and the 7000 was working when I first turned on in two way but now it does not??

The fault is therefore in the 6500 - I still think it will be an option problem as it was working before. Try option 2!

Still no joy... even tried option 0 and 3....

Maybe something is wrong with the Beomaster??

I might unplug everything leave for an hour or so and start again later tonight just in case....

    Any other ideas are welcome!!!

    Just a thought....

Two way remotes can get a bit screwy if there is more than one in the same room. If you haven't already done so, take the MCP out of the room with the beomaster and try again.

    Re: BL7000 no contact

    Hi, Mobe.

I agree with Cozza's comment above.  My BL7000 becomes confused between the BS2500  in  one room and the BS7000 in another room [the two rooms share a common wall] and gives me a "no contact" reading.  I need to close the door to avoid this problem.  Could this be what you are experiencing -- a conflict in signals?
