    Electronic Curtains

I just wondered how B&O create the electronic curtain effect on their televisions? Its great and I love the precise timing involved between opening, closing, sound on/off, tv on/off etc. How is it done exactly and does the user have any control over the speed at which they open?

The curtain is relatively simple from an electronic viewpoint. It is created digitally and effectively acts as a mask to the picture incrementing the vertical lines in black until closed. The user cannot change the speed etc

I love the curtains too. It is something that makes B&O stand out. Is there any other brand which has anything similar?

Yes, my old Grundig Xentia (looked like a cheap Avant-clone...) had the electronic curtain.

Apart from Mx7000 I also have a Loewe Tv model Ergo 28" wide screen. It has electronic curtains but only when you switch the Tv off.
