    Cartridge

    Hi.

I have a spent MMC2 cartridge. Can I replace it with another model? The MMC2s I'm finding online are $900. Might as well buy a new turntable.

Soundsmith SMMC4 is a very useful cartridge! Not as good as a MMC2 but pretty close! And a lot cheaper!

In many cases, it's probably better having two turntables for use with good, and lower, quality music. I feel awful for typing that, as it implies it's all about how able you are to afford a decent playing system. As it is, I stocked up on styluses (or stylii) a while back so it's a few year before I get that humdinger of a bill through. I'd agree with soundsmith though, unless anyone knows any good chinese copyright infringers

I agree! Far better than the original B&O MMC4 and certainly as good as the MMC3 at a fraction of the cost - and with warranty. You cannot really go wrong and worth every penny.
