    Undoing BV 7 'Film mode'

    Dear All:

On the USA version of the BV 7, how do I know if 'Film mode' is on?  If it is on, how do I turn it off.  Would someone please remind me why 'Film mode' is bad?

    Thank you,

    Dario

The film mode did create artefact's on the previous BV7-40 MkII and BV7-32 MK III Euro edition because of the not so fast video processor! But not on the new BV7-40 MK III with the Beosystem 3 processor.

The Film Mode is almost like 100Hz. It renders one extra frame per second, like the old Natural Motion by Philips, but much better..

It doesn't look like the film was recorded by a amateur camcorder like the most tv:s do today.. Like the Avant or BV3 (100HZ) for example.

And if you put the film mode off you are going to loose what B&o had in mind with the picture performance of this TV.. I have hard to see any big difference but landscapes, faces and fast moving objects are not so detailed and crisp with the Fil Mode set to OFF. It only render 60 pictures/second instead of 120 pics/s with the film mode set to:off (US NTSC 60Hz / Euro Pal 50Hz !

Try out and make your on decision ..!

The film mode is set to: Auto as default. I have mine set to On because i don´t see any big artefact's like on my Silver BV7-40 MK II ..!

If you are in the customer service menu where do you find the option film mode?
