    BV 7 without centre speaker??

I am thinking of getting a Mk3 BV7 but without the centre speaker and hooking it up to BL2+3.

I'm not cocerned about the merits of having a centre for speech etc, rather I just want to know if it will work with acceptable sound quality.

Btw,I don't want the centre because I prefer the clean lines of the tv without and the extra width [especially to rotate] would be an issue.Plus there is the £2k or so saving.

I have tried this combo with my BV6 set to Speaker 2 and it sounds more than adequate.Would this be an issue with the BV7.I can't see why but am I missing something?

    Anyone tried a similar setup?

    Thanks.

Yes, it will work absolutely fine. You need to connect them to the PowerLink outputs on the left hand side of the BeoVision, not the outputs on the right hand side where the the surround sound outputs are, and tell the BeoVision that they're a BeoLab 7-1 or 7-2.

Is that actually at all possible to buy a BV7 without a centre speaker? I thought they were sold always in a package with a centre speaker.

Another thought is the floor, table and wall mount all are made to carry it with the BL7, it might look very funy without it, i.e. you will see cables etc ...

yes it is possible to buy them seperately, as you have to order them seperately as well.

If it's the 32" he can use the wall bracket from BV6, else it's always possible to cutoff the to arms for the speaker  Smile
