Hi all, I just got a very new beocord VX7000 from my friend and want to connect it to my Sony Amp without scart input. I searched the web and found there are scart to composite (RCA) or component adaptor from various manfacturers like Monster, QED and Belkin etc. I planned to get one but not sure if this work. Does anyone try this before ?

If it works, would the picture quality differs if I use component rather than composite ?  I knew that I cannot control the beocord VX7000 using my beolink1000 but I am good for this as I plan to use the Becord for playback VHS only to convert my video tapes to DVD.

It will work - use the component lead - composite is the worst quality. The VX7000 will be almost useless because of the lack of remote but using it as you suggest is possible.
