    Hi !

    Hi

I'm a newbie so hello to all !!!!!!!!!!

I have just purchased a beogram 1500 with beomaster 1500 and beovox s35 speakers.

I've got them so I can can revisit my old vinyl collection on a quality vintage system

The turntable works beautifully and the speakers are perfect ,but ,my beomaster only has output on one speaker/headphone.

Is this a common fault (please) or is it unusual ? The unit seems to be in VGC and all the other functions work well

I would be grateful for any advice

    Thanks

    Rich

(PS. I posted on the vintage site and have no reply yet)

    Hi Rich!

Welcome!  I have that BeoGram with a BeoMaster 1900 of my Grandad's hiding in a cupboard in my spare room.

One day when i get a larger house, I am going to make a retro rom and listen to crackly records on it and smile :)

    Re: Hi !

Welcome, richh, from a Rich H.

Is it all sources that you only have one channel output?  I have a fiddly DIN cord on one of my BG3404s - a short in one wire I will take care of someday.  Repositioning the cord on occasion will get contact back after the left channel goes silent.

    Current primary listening:  SMMC20EN -> BG4002 -> BM4000 -> Beovox M70

    Re: Hi !

    Hey Rich

Thanks for your advice, thanks to all that have wellcomed and offered advice.

I started with all the real basic tests and moved to checking the fuses which were fine.

Made my lovely wife buy some contact cleaner in her lunch break. Quick spray in the balance slider area and gained a little sound on the right hand side ! yeah !!

pushin up the volume to max gained some more , yeah ! yeah !!!!!

I've left the unit running on max (headphones in) for a couple of hours now and seem to have a perfect system . I'm very very pleased as I love the design and feel of the amp.

I wonder if it will need to be warmed up before use everytime ?

Off to play some led zep !!!!!!!!!
